Summary
Rana Vikram Singh lives in a spacious farmhouse with his wife, Laxmi, and two sons. The movie is from 1985 and is an Eros, so i dont understand why picture quality is extremely low. This rip is almost like the DVD9, and the reason why im posting this is cause its never posted here and its a good movie

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan appeared in a double role in this action film. There was the sexy and glamorous Zeenat Aman and a lovely number 'Yeh mera dil pyaar ka deewana' by Helen.
In the film, there is this 'Don' Amitabh who is a ruthless smuggler. His only soft spot is Zeenat Aman. 'Don' dies in a police confrontation, and as a co-incidence there is his look-alike a country bumpkin, who has come to a city for the first time and breaks into 'Yeh hai bambai nagariya tu dekh babua'.
Cop Iftekhar spots the duplicate Amitabh and sends him as 'Don' to the notorious gang that is now being monitored by Pran. Zeenat comes to know the difference but she has already fallen in love with Don Duplicate. She joins him and Iftekhar in the guerilla warfare against Pran and his accomplices
In the film, there is this 'Don' Amitabh who is a ruthless smuggler. His only soft spot is Zeenat Aman. 'Don' dies in a police confrontation, and as a co-incidence there is his look-alike a country bumpkin, who has come to a city for the first time and breaks into 'Yeh hai bambai nagariya tu dekh babua'.
Cop Iftekhar spots the duplicate Amitabh and sends him as 'Don' to the notorious gang that is now being monitored by Pran. Zeenat comes to know the difference but she has already fallen in love with Don Duplicate. She joins him and Iftekhar in the guerilla warfare against Pran and his accomplices

It adds to this rags-to-riches show biz story some characteristic Indian twists which give it greater scope and deeper meaning.
Based on a novel by R.K. Narayan, GUIDE stars Anand as Raju, a glib, well-liked freelance tour guide who takes visitors, Indian and foreign, to historic sites around Delhi and tells them stories--some true, some embellished--about these magnificent places. When Raju takes Rosy (Waheeda Rehman), the ex-dancer, under his wing it causes a rift between him and his mother, friends and co-workers, so he leaves with Rosy and helps her to embark on a career as a singing and dancing performer.
However, as Rosy achieves stardom, Raju falls into bad habits, palling around with the money men, drinking and gambling heavily. Eventually, he is arrested for forging a check and is sent to jail. The film is a re-telling of a popular Indian tale, previously filmed as Loves of a Mughal Prince (1928) and Anarkali (1953). It is loosely based on an episode in the life of the Mughal prince Jahangir. In the movie, the great conqueror Akbar (played by Prithviraj Kapoor) and his Rajput wife, Jodhabai (played by Durga Khote) have but one son, a weak and pleasure-loving prince named Salim (Dilip Kumar). Salim falls in love with Anarkali (Madhubala), a slave and court-dancer. He wants to marry her; his father objects, and throws Anarkali into prison. Anarkali refuses to reject Salim. Salim revolts against his father, is beaten in battle, and sentenced to death. Anarkali buys his life with her own and is condemned to be walled up alive. However, the emperor relents at the last moment.

Jai is drawn to Radha (Jaya Bhaduri), the reclusive widowed daughter-in-law.
Bloody clashes between Jai, Veeru, and the bandits follow. After much sorrow and suffering, the bandits are slain.

(Central Board of Film Certification) , however, found the ending unacceptable as they thought that Police officers or even ex-police officers, should not be shown to commit murder. A new ending was filmed, in which the police arrest Gabbar Singh in the nick of time. Several other, smaller, changes were made, as well.
Barring the ending, the two versions of the film are mostly the same. In 2006 the remake Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay will be ready

A new ending was filmed, in which the police arrest Gabbar Singh in the nick of time. Several other, smaller, changes were made, as well.
