The PSP phone idea has been thrown around for quite a while now, but according to this piece of scanned white paper you see on the right, it shows just what a device would carry. Click on it for the larger image, unless you've got vision as good as Superman to read everything in fine print. Among the specifications listed include :-

It would be interesting to see whether such a device will be able to live up to the 5 hour game time claim. This could be possible if it doesn't use UMDs, but should Sony decide to make it backwards compatible with the media, game time will be severely shortened if you happen to turn on the cell phone functionality simultaneously. How much are you willing to fork out for such a dream device?

The DS-400GB was covered a few months ago, and good news for those who are interested - it is heading towards the US with a much more pronounceable name - the SmartMirror. It will have all the same features as mentioned before, in addition to news of integrated speakers, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calls, and a couple of video inputs for rear view cameras. Expect to see the SmartMirror hit retailers this August 1st, retailing for a whopping $799. Methinks the price is too high for what's in essence, a glorified rear view mirror.

Kinesis pushes the boundaries of keyboard design with the new Freestyle Convertible Keyboard range. First off is the Solo keyboard that offers a standard, traditional layout albeit in a much more compact manner to minimize adaptation while easing mouse movements. There are two keying modules hooked up to one another via the flexible Pivot TetherT, enabling infinite adjustment of the front opening angle (splay). Once you remove the Pivot Tether, it allows both modules to completely separate up to 8". The Solo Keyboard will retail for $99, and it can be augmented by the Freestyle V3 and Accent Multi-tent accessories that retail for $24.95 and $199, respectively.

Michael Arrington has appealed to geeks of the world to help him come up with an idea for a $200 web tablet that looks good to the eyes and is able to surf the Web without much hassle. Of course, it won't break the bank at that price point, but it has to be powerful enough to run programs such as Firefox and Skype without crashing or running out of memory. I think a touch screen-based 8.9" Eee PC or something in a similar vein would be great, if the Eee PC could be modified to include a swiveling display as well that doubles up as a tablet. Well, it does sound as though the end result will be a much cheaper Nokia Internet Tablet, but the jury is still out on this one.

Of course, talk is cheap...

Fujitsu's new AMILO Pi 3540 notebook is certainly no slacker when it comes to processing power as it is based on the new Intel Centrino 2 platform, offering up to 4GB of RAM. Tests run which touches on high definition content processing have shown the Fujitsu AMILO Pi 3540 to be 90% faster when it comes to encoding HD videos and a general performance increase of up to 50% when compared to its predecessors, but I'll take a few large grains of salt with such claims. Features include an eSATA port, a 15-in-1 memory card reader, 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, a spill-proof keyboard and A+ panels that offers (claimed) superior image quality. Gotta love the way the AMILO Pi 3540 looks, as it definitely is a beauty to behold and will turn heads each time you pull it out of your notebook bag. You can pick up the AMILO Pi 3540 later next month from £699 upwards.

Most USB flash drives come in the same, drab old rectangular form factor. Of course, if you want something different you will just have to do it yourself like this PS2 Memory Card Flash Drive, but alternatively you can always leave the dirty work to someone else, resulting in this 8GB Bulb USB flash drive. It weighs just 25 grams and would be more impressive if the bulb lit up each time it was plugged in. $54 for an 8GB flash drive? I'll take one (or two), thank you very much.

Optimus Pultius has 15 Keys

The folks behind the keyboard is at it again, this time with the optimus that has just 15 keys. Meant to be a peripheral that enhances your keyboard setup, the Pultius will feature tiny OLEDs on each key which is able to depict a small logo of the particular function. It is tipped to be released at the end of this year or early 2009, and pricing issues have yet to be set. Hopefully it won't cost you your firstborn though. I hope to see it at CES 2009 in Vegas.

Sony to enter ultra-low-cost laptop market

It might be the “race to the bottom” that Sony had feared: the netbook market is getting hot (if that wasn’t obvious), and with major players like Dell & HP jumping in, Sony has little choice but join the fight. Digitimes reports that Foxconn Electronics (a contract manufacturer) is “set to manufacture the notebook for Sony”. While not everyone agrees with the scope of the work to be done by Foxconn (build the whole thing, or only provide the components), there’s little doubt that major Japanese manufacturers are going to enter this market. And I bet that they will overwhelmingly choose Intel’s Atom as their processor of choice.

With the iPhone's phenomenal success and its 3G model creating waves, rumors of a MacBook Touch is bound to happen. After all, since the iPod line from Apple has also received the touch treatment, why not the MacBook? Word has it that such a device will be out this October, featuring the similar multi-touch format found on the iPhone and its 3G version. It will be powered by the full Mac OS X so that you won't miss out on any functionality. Well, I can't confirm this rumor at press time, but I surely will be able to wait till October to see if this post holds any water or not. What do you think?

Content is divided into two parts. Part one, "Definitions of Genocide and the Study of Genocide," contains several fairly long essays on important concepts such as democide and the use of the word holocaust. Many entries include sidebars that present supplemental and background information and verbatim texts of genocide-related documents. Each entry concludes with a short bibliography.

Huawei M328 revealed by FCC

The FCC has revealed more about the Huawei M328 clamshell handset that will target the entry level market. This tri-band CDMA handset boasts support for MetroPCS' 1700 AWS spectrum, and will also work just fine with access to MetroPCS' mobile web services and third-party applications in addition to mobile email. MetroPCS is currently carrying the Huawei M328 for $109 a pop.

Sony Ericsson ed the W595 Walkman phone that packs a pretty hefty punch when it comes to portable entertainment. That doesn't mean you need to throw out your iPod or Zune yet, but it makes for a great secondary portable media player replacement. Some of the features and specifications of the W595 Walkman consist of :-
